Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to Stonefolio, the strategy-simulation game and website ("Game"), run by Stonefolio ("we", "us", "our"). This is a legally binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and us about how you can access and use the Game. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE GAME, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND ALL SUPPLEMENTARY POLICIES. IF YOU DISAGREE, DO NOT USE THE GAME.
PROPRIETARY AND USE RIGHTS
We own all intellectual property and proprietary rights in the Game, including domain names, trademarks, text, images, code, and data displayed or used with it (collectively, "Content"). We own the Game and everything in it, and we don't give up any rights unless we say so explicitly. These Terms don't transfer any right, title, or interest in intellectual property to you. As long as you follow these Terms, we let you use the Game for personal entertainment. Your right to access it is personal, limited, non-exclusive, and you can't transfer it to anyone else.
USE RESTRICTIONS
You can't modify, copy, reproduce, re-edit, republish, display, encode, translate, transmit, upload, post, distribute, or use the Content in any way except as we explicitly say you can. We might let you download certain materials for personal, non-commercial use. If you do, you need to keep all copyright and proprietary notices, note where it came from, not change anything, and definitely not reproduce or share it publicly or commercially without asking us first. Anything else requires our permission upfront. You're agreeing not to use the Game in ways that break the law or these Terms, including intellectual property, data, privacy, recording, communications, advertising, securities, export and defense laws. You also can't scrape data or access materials we haven't made available to you. Don't do anything that disrupts the Game for other people or damages how it works.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
The Game might have links to other websites, including social networking sites ("Linked Sites"). We don't control those places, and we're not responsible for what's on them or what they say. When you go to a Linked Site, that's on you to be careful about it. Those sites have their own rules, and it's your job to read and follow them.
FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS
We're always happy to hear what you think about the Game. But here's the thing—don't send us feedback unless you're okay with us using it for whatever we want, without paying you or owing you anything. If you do send comments, suggestions, ideas, or other feedback ("Feedback"), you're giving it to us unconditionally and we can use it however we see fit. You're responsible for making sure what you send is legal, accurate, and actually yours.
PRIVACY
Any personal information you give us through the Game is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
CHANGES
We can change, suspend, or shut down the Game or parts of it whenever we want without telling you first. We can also update these Terms and our policies, or take the Game offline for maintenance or fixes.
INDEMNIFICATION
If someone sues us or any of our directors, employees, representatives, agents, subsidiaries, or affiliates ("Protected Parties") because of how you used the Game, you're going to pay for our defense. This covers claims about the Content you provided, any way you broke these Terms or the law, or if you infringed on someone's intellectual property or privacy rights. You also agree to cover all our damages and costs, including lawyer and expert fees, that come from those claims.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
The Game is designed to let you build architectural worlds across different historical periods. We do our best to keep the information accurate and up to date, but it's possible some of it could be incomplete, wrong, or outdated. If you're going to make decisions based on it, double-check with another source or get in touch with us. WE'RE NOT PROMISING THAT THE GAME OR CONTENT WILL WORK WITHOUT ERRORS OR INTERRUPTIONS, OR THAT WE'LL FIX ANY PROBLEMS, OR THAT USING IT WILL GET YOU SPECIFIC RESULTS. THE GAME AND CONTENT COME AS-IS AND AS-AVAILABLE. ALL INFORMATION CAN CHANGE WITHOUT WARNING. WE'RE NOT MAKING ANY WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ABOUT ACCURACY, OWNERSHIP, THAT NOTHING IS STOLEN, THAT IT'LL SELL, OR THAT IT'LL DO WHAT YOU NEED.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We don't take responsibility for how you keep, use, or share any information or content we give you through the Game. WE'RE NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES UNLESS THEY'RE A DIRECT AND IMMEDIATE RESULT OF US BREAKING THESE TERMS. AND WE'RE DEFINITELY NOT LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOST PRIVACY, LOST DATA, ECONOMIC LOSS, OR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES—EVEN IF WE KNEW THIS COULD HAPPEN. IF WE END UP LIABLE TO YOU FOR SOMETHING RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE GAME, THE MOST WE OWE YOU IS CAD terms00.00. IF ANY OF THESE DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITS CAN'T BE APPLIED UNDER YOUR LOCAL LAW, THEN JUST THOSE PARTS WON'T APPLY AND EVERYTHING ELSE STAYS IN EFFECT.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN CHOICE OF LAW AND JURISDICTION CLAUSES. IF YOU'RE IN ONE OF THOSE PLACES, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE MIGHT NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU COULD HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
MISCELLANEOUS
These Terms replace any other agreement, statement, or promise about this subject, whether written or spoken. They bind you and your heirs, executors, and anyone else representing you legally. If a court decides any part of these Terms is void or can't be enforced, that part gets applied as much as the law allows, staying as close as possible to what we originally meant. The rest of the Terms stay in full effect. If we don't act on something you did wrong, that's not us waiving our rights. Nothing that happens between us changes these Terms. We're not giving any rights to third parties here. You can't transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else. We can assign or transfer our rights and obligations without asking you.
